bakbak is designed with privacy as a core value. We collect the minimum data needed to operate the platform and nothing more.

Recordings may be reviewed by our moderation team. They may also be processed by automated systems (such as speech-to-text APIs) to detect harmful content. The specific tools and services we use may change over time. Recordings are deleted after 3 months without exception.

Anonymised or aggregated data (where no individual can be re-identified) may be shared with or licensed to third parties for research or commercial purposes. Raw, identifiable recordings are never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.
bakbak's servers are located in India (Mumbai region). Third-party processors (Daily.co, PostHog) may process data in other regions, subject to appropriate data transfer safeguards.
bakbak operates anonymously — we do not collect your name, email, or phone number. Because we cannot identify individual users, the practical exercise of data rights (access, correction, erasure) is limited. However, if you can demonstrate ownership of a specific session by providing your session token (from your browser's cookies), we will honour deletion requests. Contact us at [email protected].
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of bakbak's assets, data may be transferred to the successor entity, which will remain bound by the terms of this privacy policy.
